A very healthy, but demure, vigorous tree renowned for its prolific fruiting &  bearing branch-bending loads. It also is very capable of performing great quantities of fruit even in the wettest windiest sites.
 
However, people may disagree, but I find the fruit itself is actually rather ugly. With its yellow-green fruits with corky lenticel, it looks like it has the pox not would you would expect in an endearing vintage apple variety. But that’s the thing. It is for juicing rather than eater so appearances really don’t matter a fig. The juice is in fact high revered for it vintage bittersweet flavour & even has quite the following in its native homeland. We can testify, its actually rather good!
