Packaging:

 Packaging is a pain, fact. Unfortunately the idea of ‘doing away’ with it isn’t a terribly practical one.  For a product that we have cherished, loved & care for it is important it gets to you in the same perfect condition it left here in. we are constantly looking into new ways of sending out produce to you without harming the beautiful environment we spend so much tie lovely tending to.

Currently you can fully recycle all our packaging.

Scion Wood Packaging

The exterior postal bag is 100% biodegradable, compostable & recyclable as well as sustainability sourced.

The ‘Cling Film’ around the scion is actually Biofilm, a plant based product which is also 100% biodegradable, compostable &recyclable. Just pop it into the composter caddy or garden compost bin & let nature do the rest.

Bee Nucs

Our bee frames are largely sourced from 100 sustainably FSC sourced with 100% natural bees wax foundation. Our frames can either be burnt as biomass, composted ( but we wouldn’t recommended that) or manky old frames make the best swarm lures. Just pop them into a suitable box & hey presto, you very own bait box. We strongly advise however in the interest of bio-security only completely disease free frames are used for this purpose.

The correx travel boxes are made of correx making them very durable, flexible & infinitely re-useable either within your beekeeping journey (for future splits, boat boxes or just temporary elusive queen isolation).

Flower Boxes

The exterior postal box is 100% biodegradable, compostable & recyclable as well as sustainably sourced.

The protective kraft paper around the daffodils is a light weight tissue that is also 100% biodegradable, compostable &recyclable. Just pop it into the composter caddy or garden compost bin & let nature do the rest.
